Privacy Policy
Effective 10 October 2026
SpeedParcel ("we", "us") runs a parcel booking and delivery network and the SpeedParcel mobile and web apps used by our branches and staff. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and your choices. It applies to the SpeedParcel app and to speedparcel.co.
Information we collect
- Account information. When a branch, attendant or administrator signs in, we process a username, role and the station a branch is attached to. We do not store your password in readable form.
- Consignment details. To book and move a parcel, our branches enter the sender's and receiver's name, phone number and address, and details of the parcel (weight, package count, value). This information is provided by the booking branch, not collected from the customer through the app.
- Notification token. If a staff member enables push notifications, we store a device push token so we can alert the receiving branch when a consignment is heading to it. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Technical logs. Our servers keep standard request logs (for example, time of request and error diagnostics) to run and secure the service. The app does not collect your device's location.
How we use information
- To book consignments and move them between stations to delivery.
- To send operational notifications about arrivals and hand-overs.
- To calculate freight, commission and settlement between branches and the company.
- To secure the service, prevent misuse and meet legal and accounting obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service: between the branches that handle a given consignment, and with the providers that operate our platform — our hosting and database providers, and the push-notification services (Expo and the device platform, such as Google) that deliver alerts. We may disclose information where required by law.
Data retention
We keep consignment and account records for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy legal, tax and accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Security
Access is restricted by role and protected by authentication. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law. To make a request, or for any question about this policy, contact us using the details below.
Children
SpeedParcel is a service for businesses and their staff and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
